Optometrist

The Optometrist will perform eye testing, refraction, vision assessment, contact lens support, preliminary eye examination, diagnostic assistance, and doctor coordination at ASG Eye Hospital, Bikaner. This requires B.Optom or Diploma in Optometry qualification with 1–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform refraction, visual acuity testing, and basic eye examination for patients.
• Support slit-lamp examination, IOP check, lensometry, contact lens guidance, and diagnostic testing.
• Prepare patients for ophthalmologist consultation and eye investigations.
• Identify abnormal findings and escalate urgent cases to doctors promptly.
• Maintain optometry records, prescriptions, patient notes, and test documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, counsellors, billing, OT, diagnostics, and patient care teams.
• Maintain cleanliness, calibration readiness, and safe handling of optometry equipment.
• Explain basic eye testing process to patients in a polite and professional manner.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and confidentiality during examination.
• Provide accurate, timely, and patient-friendly optometry support.
