Resident - Oncology Services

The Resident will assist oncology consultants in managing cancer patients across OPD, IPD, oncology day care, and assigned clinical areas. The candidate will support report review, treatment monitoring, side-effect observation, patient counselling, and coordination with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and billing teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend oncology patients in OPD, IPD, day care, and assigned clinical areas.
• Take patient history, review reports, and support oncology treatment planning.
• Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, chemotherapy planning, and follow-up care.
• Monitor patient condition, treatment response, side effects, and investigation results.
• Maintain case records, prescriptions, consent forms, and progress notes.
• Coordinate with nursing, oncology day care, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and billing teams.
• Counsel patients and attendants under consultant guidance.
• Report adverse reactions, abnormal findings, or clinical deterioration promptly.
• Support admission, discharge, referral, and follow-up coordination.
• Follow oncology care protocols, infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and compassionate communication.
• Deliver safe, ethical, and coordinated oncology care support.
