Book Day

World Book Day is a worldwide celebration of books and reading, observed annually on April 23rd. It is a day dedicated to encouraging people to read books, promoting the benefits of reading, and celebrating the joy of literature.

The day was originally designated by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1995 as a way to promote reading, publishing, and copyright protection. Since then, it has become a global phenomenon with events and activities taking place in over 100 countries around the world.
