FAQ

What is lupus?

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can cause inflammation and damage to various parts of the body, including the skin, joints, kidneys, and other organs. The immune system of people with lupus mistakenly attacks healthy tissues, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, skin rashes, and fever. Women are more likely to develop lupus than men, and the disease often begins between the ages of 15 and 44.
