Engineering Executive

The Engineering Executive will be responsible for coordinating maintenance, utility operations, equipment reliability, documentation, and engineering compliance activities in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This involves preventive maintenance, breakdown support, plant equipment monitoring, vendor coordination, and adherence to GMP and safety standards. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and cross-functional coordination skills to support uninterrupted production operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for production equipment and utilities.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintenance schedules, downtime, and engineering work orders.
• Ensure smooth operation of HVAC, water systems, compressors, boilers, chillers, and utility equipment.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and utility-related issues on the shop floor.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, logbooks, checklists, and calibration coordination documents.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with GMP, SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate with production, QA, QC, and maintenance teams for equipment readiness and line clearance support.
• Plan manpower, tools, spares, and resources required for scheduled maintenance activities.
• Support installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation of equipment and utility systems.
• Track repeated breakdowns and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service engineers for technical support and AMC activities.
• Monitor spare parts availability and support procurement planning for critical engineering items.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, wear, safety risks, and maintenance improvement areas.
• Prepare maintenance MIS reports, utility performance updates, and engineering compliance summaries.
• Promote safe working practices and proper housekeeping across engineering work areas.
