RMO (Resident Medical Officer)

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will be responsible for delivering round-the-clock medical care, handling patient admissions and discharges, monitoring clinical conditions, and assisting consultants in diagnosis and treatment. The requires strong clinical acumen, prompt decision-making, and the ability to manage emergency situations efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provideect medical care to patients across wards, ICU, and emergency departments.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients under the guidance of consultants.
• Handle patient admissions, transfers, and discharge processes efficiently.
• Conduct regular ward rounds and monitor patient progress.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate stabilization.
• Review laboratory and diagnostic reports and escalate critical findings.
• Prescribe medications as per hospital protocols and consultant instructions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for effective patient care.
• Attend Code Blue and emergency calls and manage critical situations.
• Assist in clinical procedures and interventions when required.
• Ensure continuity of care through proper handover during shift changes.
• Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and clinical guidelines strictly.
• Support infection control and patient safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
• Assist in medico-legal cases and ensure proper documentation.
• Participate in audits, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality at all times.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by consultants or hospital management.
