Job Description
The Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Finance and Accounts will handle end-to-end financial operations including accounting, reporting, compliance, and audits. This requires strong leadership skills, financial expertise, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to support business decisions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, and AR.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
- Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost control measures.
- Handle reconciliations including bank, vendor, and customer accounts.
- Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Coordinate with various departments for financial planning and reporting.
- Manage ERP systems and ensure data accuracy in financial records.
- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for management review.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounts team members.
- Handle payroll accounting and statutory compliance if required.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions.
- Support budgeting and financial planning initiatives.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and industry practices.
- Assist senior management in financial decision-making and strategy.
- Maintain strong coordination with auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to overall financial health and growth of the organization.
