Pharmacist / Senior Pharmacist

The Pharmacist / Senior Pharmacist will handle prescription review, medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient counseling while ensuring adherence to legal and safety standards. This requires strong attention to detail, clinical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy, dosage, and appropriateness.
• Dispense medications safely and efficiently as per prescribed guidelines.
• Provide patient counseling on drug usage, dosage, side effects, and precautions.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, SOPs, and safety protocols.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of medicines as per regulatory standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory, including stock levels and expiry tracking (FIFO/FEFO).
• Coordinate procurement of medicines and maintain adequate stock availability.
• Handle controlled drugs and ensure compliance with legal and documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of dispensing, billing, and inventory transactions.
• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation of medications.
• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare staff for prescription clarifications.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the pharmacy.
• Participate in audits and ensure audit readiness at all times.
• Monitor and reduce medication errors through proper checks and controls.
• Use ERP or pharmacy management systems for data entry and reporting.
• Train and guide junior pharmacy staff (for seniors).
• Handle customer queries and provide professional pharmaceutical advice.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient and prescription information.
• Work in shifts and manage workload efficiently.
