Floor Co-ordinator

The Floor Co-ordinator will manage patient flow, floor-level coordination, department communication, admission and discharge support, patient guidance, service follow-up, and daily operational support in a hospital or healthcare setup. This requires good communication skills, hospital coordination knowledge, patient-friendly behavior, and the ability to coordinate smoothly between patients, doctors, nurses, billing, diagnostics, and support departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities on the assigned hospital floor or patient care area.
• Guide patients and attendants regarding rooms, doctors, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, reports, and hospital services.
• Coordinate with nursing, doctors, billing, housekeeping, maintenance, pharmacy, diagnostics, and patient care teams.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and patient shifting coordination.
• Track pending services such as reports, approvals, investigations, billing clearance, and discharge process.
• Attend patient and attendant queries politely and provide proper service guidance.
• Escalate complaints, service delays, operational issues, or urgent patient concerns to seniors.
• Monitor floor cleanliness, room readiness, patient comfort, and basic facility requirements.
• Maintain patient movement records, coordination logs, discharge trackers, and floor-level documentation.
• Support smooth communication between patients, relatives, nurses, doctors, and administrative teams.
• Ensure hospital SOPs, patient privacy, safety, and service standards are followed.
• Maintain professional behavior, confidentiality, and patient-friendly communication at all times.
