Job Description
Manager - Diagnostic Supply Chain is responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain operations related to diagnostic services, laboratory consumables, medical inventory, and logistics coordination. The involves procurement planning, inventory management, vendor coordination, stock optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted availability of diagnostic supplies across departments and facilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage overall supply chain operations for diagnostic and laboratory services.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of diagnostic reagents, kits, consumables, and medical supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock availability across departments and locations.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics, laboratory, and operations teams for smooth workflow management.
- Develop inventory control strategies to minimize shortages, wastage, and excess stock.
- Monitor stock movement, material consumption, and replenishment planning regularly.
- Manage vendor relationships, supplier negotiations, and delivery performance monitoring.
- Conduct inventory audits, stock verification, and reconciliation activities periodically.
- Monitor expiry management and ensure proper handling of near-expiry and expired materials.
- Prepare and review supply chain MIS reports, inventory reports, and operational performance data.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to diagnostic supplies.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement cost optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics and distribution of diagnostic materials across departments or branches.
- Ensure proper storage conditions and inventory handling practices for sensitive diagnostic products.
- Supervise and guide supply chain, inventory, and store staff for efficient operations.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and operational review meetings.
- Maintain professionalism, operational accuracy, and effective coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
