Speech Therapist

The Speech Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing difficulties, developing individualized therapy plans, and providing effective rehabilitation. The requires strong clinical knowledge, patience, and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

• Provide therapy for conditions such as speech delay, stammering, voice disorders, and aphasia.
• Treat patients with neurological conditions affecting communication and swallowing.
• Conduct swallowing assessments and provide dysphagia management.
• Use therapeutic techniques, exercises, and assistive devices to improve communication skills.
• Monitor patient progress and modify therapy plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home-based therapy techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide counseling and support to patients and families.
• Ensure a patient-centered and empathetic approach to therapy.
• Maintain therapy equipment and ensure proper usage.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
