OSD Manufacturing Supervisor

The OSD Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for supervising oral solid dosage manufacturing operations, including granulation, blending, compression, coating, and related production activities. This requires strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs, batch manufacturing records, manpower handling, and shop-floor compliance. The candidate will ensure smooth batch execution, process monitoring, documentation accuracy, and coordination with QA, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams to meet production targets safely and efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily OSD manufacturing activities as per approved production plans and batch records.
• Monitor processes such as granulation, blending, compression, coating, sieving, and material transfer.
• Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials for smooth shift-wise production execution.
• Ensure manufacturing activities are performed according to GMP, SOPs, and safety requirements.
• Verify equipment readiness, area cleanliness, line clearance, and material availability before batch start.
• Monitor critical process parameters such as time, temperature, pressure, speed, weight, and yield.
• Review batch manufacturing records, equipment logbooks, cleaning records, and production checklists.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, engineering, and maintenance teams for batch completion.
• Identify and report deviations, breakdowns, process abnormalities, and yield variations.
• Train technicians and operators on SOPs, documentation practices, safety, and GMP compliance.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and movement of raw materials and intermediates.
• Maintain discipline, hygiene, contamination control, and housekeeping in manufacturing areas.
• Monitor downtime, rejection, wastage, and production efficiency during assigned shifts.
• Prepare shift reports, batch progress updates, and production performance summaries.
• Support audits, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives in OSD manufacturing.
