CSSD Technician

Vijaya Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CSSD Technician to manage sterilization processes and ensure the availability of safe, sterile medical instruments across all departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining strict infection control standards and supporting surgical and clinical teams through efficient sterilization and supply management.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment as per established protocols
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ETO machines, and washers
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage before sterilization and distribution
• Assemble, pack, and label instrument sets according to departmental requirements
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, loads, and equipment performance
• Ensure proper storage and handling of sterile supplies to maintain sterility
• Follow infection control policies, safety guidelines, and biomedical waste management protocols
• Coordinate with operation theatre and other departments for timely supply of sterile instruments
• Monitor inventory of sterile and non-sterile items and ensure adequate stock levels
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist in routine maintenance and validation processes
