Job Description
MGM Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Jr./Sr. Consultant Pulmonologist to provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory and pulmonary disorders. The involves delivering advanced respiratory care, managing critical pulmonary cases, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic respiratory and pulmonary diseases.
- Conduct comprehensive pulmonary examinations and patient evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for conditions such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, tuberculosis, and lung cancer.
- Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and other respiratory diagnostics.
- Manage ICU and critical care respiratory patients, including ventilator management.
- Perform and supervise procedures such as bronchoscopy and pleural fluid drainage.
- Provide emergency care for respiratory distress and life-threatening conditions.
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and other specialists for integrated patient care.
- Interpret imaging studies such as chest X-rays and CT scans in correlation with clinical findings.
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Conduct patient counseling on smoking cessation and respiratory health.
- Monitor treatment progress and modify management plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Participate in ICU rounds and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Supervise junior doctors, residents, and respiratory therapy staff.
- Participate in hospital respiratory care programs and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and hospital safety standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in pulmonology and respiratory medicine.
- Support pulmonary rehabilitation programs and patient education initiatives.
- Contribute to academic, research, and clinical audit activities.
