Executive Projects and Engineering

The Executive – Projects & Engineering will be responsible for handling maintenance, troubleshooting, validation, and qualification of critical process equipment used in sterile manufacturing. The involves ensuring uninterrupted plant operations, maintaining documentation as per regulatory requirements, managing spare parts, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of injectable facility equipment such as eye drop filling machines, Autoclaves, Isolators, PFS filling machines, and ORABS/CRABS systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues in process equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure 24x7 engineering support by planning and managing manpower schedules effectively.
• Maintain and monitor critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability and reduce equipment downtime.
• Execute all engineering and maintenance activities in compliance with cGMP and Good Engineering Practices (GEP).
• Prepare, update, and maintain all maintenance-related documentation, logbooks, and records as per SOPs.
• Participate in equipment qualification activities including IQ, IOQ, OQ, PQ, and PLC IOQ.
• Support and monitor routine validation activities to ensure process and equipment reliability.
• entify improvement opportunities in equipment performance and recommend process optimization initiatives.
• Ensure timely calibration of instruments and equipment to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Production, QA, and QC for smooth plant operations.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and systems.
• Monitor equipment performance trends and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in audit preparation and ensure readiness for internal and external regulatory inspections.
• Maintain proper documentation for deviations, change controls, and maintenance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering operations and documentation practices.
• Optimize resource utilization to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Support project execution activities including planning, coordination, and implementation.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
