Maintenance Plumber

The Maintenance Plumber will be responsible for maintaining hospital plumbing systems, water supply lines, drainage, sanitary fittings, pipelines, and related repair work. This requires hands-on plumbing skills, preventive maintenance ability, and quick response to facility breakdowns. The candidate will support uninterrupted hospital operations by ensuring clean water supply, proper drainage, leakage control, and safe plumbing infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hospital plumbing systems, pipelines, taps, valves, and sanitary fittings.
• Attend plumbing complaints related to leakage, blockage, water pressure, drainage, and washroom fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance of water lines, drainage systems, tanks, pumps, and plumbing accessories.
• Support installation and replacement of pipes, fittings, faucets, flush systems, and bathroom fixtures.
• Coordinate with facility, maintenance, housekeeping, and engineering teams for repair work.
• Respond quickly to urgent plumbing issues affecting patient care or hospital operations.
• Maintain records of complaints, repair work, materials used, and pending maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety procedures while working with tools, ladders, wet areas, and maintenance equipment.
• Check water supply systems and report major faults, damage, or infrastructure risks.
• Support water tank cleaning coordination, pipeline inspection, and drainage maintenance activities.
• Maintain cleanliness after completing repair work in patient and public areas.
• Ensure plumbing repairs are completed with minimum disruption to hospital services.
• Handle tools, materials, and plumbing consumables responsibly.
• Report repeated breakdowns and improvement needs to facility or engineering supervisors.
• Contribute to safe, hygienic, and functional hospital infrastructure.
