Dialysis Technician - Nephrology

The Dialysis Technician - Nephrology will manage hemodialysis machine preparation, patient dialysis support, dialysis procedure assistance, equipment monitoring, infection control, and dialysis documentation at Kalinga Hospital, Bhubaneswar. This requires Diploma or Degree in Dialysis Technology with 1–3 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machines, dialyzers, tubing, solutions, and required dialysis materials before procedure.
• Assist in patient preparation, vascular access checking, and dialysis initiation under clinical guidance.
• Monitor patient vitals, machine parameters, blood flow, pressures, and patient condition during dialysis.
• Support nephrologists and nursing teams during dialysis procedures and emergency situations.
• Maintain dialysis records, machine logs, patient charts, consumable records, and procedure documentation.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, biomedical waste, and dialysis safety protocols.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis machines and dialysis area as per SOP.
• Report abnormal vitals, machine alarms, patient discomfort, or technical issues promptly.
• Coordinate with nephrology, nursing, biomedical, pharmacy, laboratory, and billing teams.
• Support stock checking of dialysis consumables and emergency materials.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and professional communication.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and patient-friendly dialysis technical support.
