IDCCN Course for Nurses

The IDCCN Course for Nurses position is suitable for nurses who want to build or upgrade their critical care nursing skills at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualification with 0–5 years of experience and is focused on ICU nursing, critical patient monitoring, emergency readiness, patient safety, and advanced nursing care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Learn and support critical care nursing practices in ICU and high-dependency care areas.
• Assist in monitoring vital signs, ECG, oxygen saturation, intake-output, pain score, and patient condition.
• Support senior nurses during ICU rounds, emergency procedures, resuscitation, and critical care activities.
• Assist with oxygen therapy, suctioning, catheter care, patient positioning, and pressure sore prevention under guidance.
• Maintain nursing notes, medication records, intake-output records, and handover documentation.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, isolation, and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Report abnormal vitals, patient deterioration, critical lab values, or clinical changes immediately.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and patient care teams.
• Participate in training sessions, case discussions, skill development, and critical care learning activities.
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow ICU protocols, medication safety, patient safety, and documentation standards.
• Develop strong, safe, and confident critical care nursing skills.
