The Ward Nurse will manage bedside nursing care, patient monitoring, medication administration, ward support, patient communication, and clinical documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–7 years of experience in ward nursing, nursing care, patient care, and medication administration.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to ward patients as per doctors advice and hospital nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals, condition, symptoms, oxygen level, pain score, and clinical improvement.
- Administer prescribed medicines, injections, IV fluids, and nursing interventions safely.
- Assist doctors and senior nurses during ward rounds, procedures, dressing, and emergency response.
- Maintain accurate medication charts, nursing notes, patient records, and handover sheets.
- Support patient admission, room transfer, diagnostic movement, discharge preparation, and follow-up coordination.
- Observe patients for deterioration, discomfort, adverse drug reactions, or abnormal reports and inform seniors immediately.
- Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, housekeeping, and patient care departments.
- Follow infection prevention, biomedical waste, hand hygiene, and patient safety guidelines.
- Educate patients and relatives about basic care instructions under nursing guidance.
- Maintain polite communication, patient dignity, and confidentiality.
- Ensure smooth, safe, and compassionate ward nursing services.
