The Registrar Obstetrics & Gynaecology will support womens healthcare, antenatal and postnatal care, labour room management, gynecological patient care, emergency obstetric support, and clinical documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MS or DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology qualification with 0–4 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend obstetrics and gynaecology OPD, IPD, emergency, labour room, OT, and ward patients.
- Support antenatal care, postnatal care, menstrual disorders, infertility-related concerns, infections, and gynecological conditions.
- Assist consultants during labour monitoring, deliveries, C-section preparation, gynecological procedures, and surgeries.
- Monitor maternal vitals, fetal status, labour progress, bleeding, pain, reports, and treatment response.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies such as fetal distress, bleeding, hypertension, pain, and high-risk pregnancy concerns.
- Maintain partographs, labour records, consent forms, procedure notes, case sheets, and discharge summaries.
- Coordinate with labour room nurses, OT, anaesthesia, NICU, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and billing teams.
- Counsel patients and families under consultant guidance regarding pregnancy care, procedure preparation, and follow-up.
- Support safe transfer of mother and newborn when required.
- Follow maternity safety, infection control, patient dignity, privacy, and documentation standards.
- Escalate high-risk findings and clinical deterioration promptly.
- Deliver safe, respectful, and patient-centered OBG care support.
