Resident Obstetrics Gynaecology

The Resident Obstetrics & Gynaecology will provide obstetric and gynecological clinical support, labour room assistance, emergency OBG care, patient monitoring, consultant coordination, and documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MS or DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology qualification with 0–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend antenatal, postnatal, labour room, emergency, gynecology OPD, IPD, OT, and ward patients.
• Assist consultants in pregnancy care, gynecological assessment, labour monitoring, procedures, and discharge planning.
• Monitor maternal vitals, fetal status, labour progress, pain, bleeding, reports, and treatment response.
• Support deliveries, C-section preparation, gynecological procedure assistance, and post-operative care under guidance.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies such as fetal distress, postpartum bleeding, hypertension, pain, and high-risk conditions.
• Maintain clinical notes, partographs, delivery records, consent forms, medication charts, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with labour room, OT, NICU, anaesthesia, nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and billing teams.
• Counsel patients and families under senior supervision regarding pregnancy care, treatment process, and follow-up.
• Support safe mother and newborn transfer when required.
• Follow maternity safety protocols, infection control, patient privacy, dignity, and documentation standards.
• Escalate high-risk findings or patient deterioration promptly.
• Deliver respectful, ethical, and compassionate OBG care support.
