The Senior Resident Anaesthesiology will provide anaesthesia support, OT patient monitoring, pre-operative evaluation, post-operative recovery assistance, ICU support, and critical care coordination at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MD or DNB Anaesthesiology qualification with 0–5 years of experience in anaesthesiology, anaesthesia, intensive care, and critical care.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct or assist in pre-anaesthesia assessment and identify patient risk factors before surgery.
- Prepare anaesthesia plan under consultant supervision according to surgery type and clinical condition.
- Assist in anaesthesia administration and perioperative patient monitoring.
- Monitor airway, ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, fluids, medication response, and recovery condition.
- Support airway management, emergency resuscitation, pain relief, and post-operative care.
- Assist ICU, emergency, and critical care teams when anaesthesia expertise is required.
- Coordinate with OT team, surgeons, nursing staff, anaesthesia technicians, ICU, and pharmacy.
- Maintain accurate anaesthesia records, consent support, PAC documentation, and post-operative notes.
- Identify and report complications, adverse drug reactions, or unstable patient conditions immediately.
- Follow anaesthesia safety protocols, infection control standards, and OT discipline.
- Communicate professionally with patients, attendants, and clinical teams.
- Ensure safe, ethical, and patient-centered anaesthesia services.
