Job Description
The Sr. Manager – Legal & Compliance will be responsible for leading legal, compliance, contracts, litigation, and intellectual property functions. The involves advising leadership on regulatory, commercial, and risk-related matters while ensuring the organization operates within legal frameworks. The candidate will develop and implement legal policies, manage disputes, oversee contract governance, and drive compliance initiatives. Additionally, the includes conducting training programs and fostering a strong culture of legal awareness and compliance across the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all legal, compliance, and regulatory functions within the organization.
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership on business, regulatory, and risk matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Oversee litigation matters, coordinate with external counsel, and manage dispute resolution.
- Manage intellectual property (IP) portfolio including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Develop, implement, and update legal and compliance policies, frameworks, and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- entify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational interests.
- Conduct compliance audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
- Design and deliver compliance training and awareness programs for employees.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise stakeholders on impact and necessary actions.
- Support business transactions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives with legal inputs.
- Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and contract lifecycle management.
- Handle corporate governance matters and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments for legal reviews and compliance alignment.
- Manage vendor, client, and partner legal interactions and negotiations.
- Ensure confidentiality and protection of sensitive legal information.
- Prepare legal reports, risk assessments, and MIS for management review.
- Drive continuous improvement in legal processes and compliance systems.
- Uphold ethical standards and promote a culture of integrity across the organization.
