Associate Consultant Internal Medicine

Associate Consultant Internal Medicine is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with general medicine and internal medicine conditions across OPD, IPD, and emergency care settings. The requires MD, DNB Internal Medicine, or MBBS qualification with 0 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of clinical diagnosis, patient care, internal medicine protocols, and hospital-based medical practice.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct OPD consultations for internal medicine and general medicine patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Manage admitted patients and coordinate inpatient treatment plans.
• Review patient history, symptoms, clinical findings, and investigation reports.
• Assist senior consultants in clinical decision-making and treatment planning.
• Provide timely medical care for emergency and critical patient needs.
• Prescribe medicines and treatment plans as per hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans when required.
• Coordinate with nurses, diagnostic teams, ICU, and other departments.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate prescriptions, progress notes, and clinical documentation.
• Support admission, discharge, transfer, and referral decisions.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and ethical medical standards.
• Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-focused medical care.
