Executive - Pharma

The Executive – Pharma will be responsible for dispensing medications as per prescriptions, managing pharmacy inventory, ensuring quality control of drugs, and supporting smooth pharmacy operations. The requires strict adherence to regulatory guidelines, proper documentation, and coordination with internal departments to ensure timely availability and safe distribution of medicines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines accurately based on doctor’s prescriptions.
• Pick and verify medicines before dispensing to ensure correctness.
• Check batch numbers, expiry dates, and quality of medicines before issue.
• Procure medicines from external pharmacies when required.
• Receive and verify stock from vendors, ensuring quality and quantity compliance.
• Maintain proper storage conditions for all pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure only approved and quality drugs are procured and dispensed.
• Conduct daily stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform monthly stock audits and reconciliation.
• Maintain minimum stock levels and raise indents for replenishment.
• Handle medicine returns by checking batch number, expiry, and packaging condition.
• Ensure proper documentation and system entry for returned medicines.
• Manage billing and cash collection for pharmacy transactions.
• Coordinate with billing department for credit billing and documentation.
• Cross-check medicine details with billing entries before issuing to patients.
• Implement and adhere to drug policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and maintain records for marketing returns and expired stock.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards in the pharmacy.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other departments for medication requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and stock movements.
• Assist in audits and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Follow instructions from HOD and support additional pharmacy-related tasks.
• Ensure proper waste disposal of expired or damaged medicines.
• Participate in continuous improvement of pharmacy processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling patient and medication data.
