Attending Consultant Critical Care Medicine

Attending Consultant Critical Care Medicine is responsible for managing ICU patients, critical care emergencies, intensive care treatment planning, patient monitoring, and multidisciplinary coordination. The requires MBBS with MD Anaesthesia, DNB Critical Care Medicine, or related qualification with 0 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of critical care medicine, ICU, anesthesiology, intensive care, consulting, and emergency management.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients admitted in ICU and intensive care units.
• Provide clinical assessment, treatment planning, and emergency intervention.
• Monitor ventilator support, hemodynamics, oxygenation, and organ support.
• Coordinate with anesthesia, emergency, medicine, surgery, and nursing teams.
• Lead or support resuscitation, airway management, and code blue response.
• Review investigations, imaging, and critical care parameters.
• Counsel patients families regarding condition, treatment, and prognosis.
• Maintain ICU records, progress notes, and clinical documentation.
• Guide junior doctors, residents, and ICU staff when required.
• Follow infection control, ICU safety, and patient care protocols.
• Participate in ICU audits, case reviews, and academic meetings.
• Deliver timely, ethical, and patient-centered critical care.
