Associate Consultant - Medical Oncology at Medanta Gurgaon

Associate Consultant - Medical Oncology is responsible for managing cancer patients, supporting chemotherapy planning, clinical oncology care, patient counselling, and multidisciplinary cancer treatment coordination. The requires DM Medical Oncology or DrNB Medical Oncology qualification with 0 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of medical oncology, cancer care, clinical oncology, patient management, and treatment protocols.

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct medical oncology consultations and patient evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage patients with different types of cancer.
• Plan chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or supportive treatment under protocol.
• Monitor treatment response, complications, and side effects.
• Review pathology, imaging, laboratory, and staging reports.
• Coordinate with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and nursing teams.
• Counsel patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Maintain oncology treatment records, prescriptions, and chemotherapy documentation.
• Support tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary cancer care planning.
• Manage oncology emergencies and treatment-related complications.
• Follow evidence-based oncology guidelines and patient safety protocols.
• Deliver ethical, compassionate, and specialized cancer care.
