Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray imaging procedures as per physician instructions and clinical requirements.
• Prepare patients for radiographic procedures, ensuring comfort and proper positioning.
• Verify patiententity and relevant clinical information before conducting imaging.
• Operate and maintain X-ray machines and related imaging equipment efficiently.
• Ensure optimal image quality while minimizing patient radiation exposure.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and use protective equipment for patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data.
• Process, review, and ensure clarity of X-ray images before submission to radiologists.
• Coordinate with radiologists and doctors for imaging requirements and clarifications.
• Handle digital imaging systems such as PACS and RIS for image storage and retrieval.
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and routine checks of imaging equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the radiology department.
• Follow infection control and biomedical waste disposal protocols.
• Assist in handling emergency and bedside X-ray procedures when required.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or technical issues promptly.
• Maintain inventory of radiology consumables and protective gear.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and audits.
