Registrar - Anaesthesia

The Registrar - Anaesthesia will manage anaesthesia support, pre-anaesthesia checkups, intraoperative monitoring, airway management assistance, post-operative recovery care, emergency response, and OT coordination at Apollo Hospitals Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru. This requires MBBS with MD or DNB Anaesthesia qualification.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anaesthesia evaluation and assess patient fitness for procedures.
• Review patient history, clinical condition, investigations, allergies, consent, and risk factors.
• Assist or provide anaesthesia care under consultant supervision as per hospital protocol.
• Monitor airway, vitals, fluids, blood loss, pain control, and patient response during procedures.
• Coordinate with surgeons, OT nurses, ICU, emergency, recovery room, and ward teams.
• Maintain anaesthesia notes, PAC records, procedure documentation, and post-operative care records.
• Support emergency airway management, resuscitation, and critical care situations.
• Ensure anaesthesia machines, monitors, drugs, oxygen, suction, and emergency equipment readiness.
• Guide junior residents and OT support staff in safe anaesthesia workflow.
• Follow patient safety, infection control, OT discipline, and clinical documentation standards.
• Counsel patients or relatives when required regarding anaesthesia process and precautions.
• Ensure safe, timely, and professional anaesthesia care delivery.
