Resident - Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The Resident - Obstetrics & Gynaecology will support womens healthcare, antenatal care, postnatal care, labour room assistance, gynecology patient care, emergency obstetric support, and clinical documentation at Apollo Hospitals Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru. This requires MBBS qualification.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend obstetrics and gynaecology patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, and labour room.
• Support antenatal, postnatal, high-risk pregnancy, and gynecology care under consultant guidance.
• Assist consultants during rounds, examinations, deliveries, procedures, and patient reviews.
• Monitor maternal vitals, fetal status, lab reports, ultrasound reports, and treatment response.
• Coordinate with OT, NICU, anaesthesia, nursing, laboratory, blood bank, and pharmacy teams.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and escalate high-risk cases promptly.
• Maintain prescriptions, progress notes, consent forms, labour records, and discharge summaries.
• Counsel patients under guidance regarding pregnancy care, treatment plan, and follow-up.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and procedure coordination.
• Follow maternal safety, infection control, patient privacy, and ethical care standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient confidentiality.
• Ensure compassionate, safe, and patient-centered womens healthcare support.
