The Registrar - Obstetrics & Gynaecology will manage obstetric and gynecological patient care, labour room coordination, emergency obstetric response, procedure assistance, patient counselling, and clinical documentation at Apollo Hospitals Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru. This requires MBBS with MS or DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology qualification.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage obstetrics and gynaecology patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, labour room, and OT.
- Provide antenatal, postnatal, high-risk pregnancy, infertility, and gynecological care support.
- Assist consultants during normal deliveries, C-sections, gynecological procedures, and ward rounds.
- Review fetal monitoring, ultrasound reports, lab reports, vitals, and patient progress.
- Coordinate with OT, NICU, anaesthesia, nursing, laboratory, blood bank, and pharmacy teams.
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, bleeding, labour complications, and high-risk cases.
- Maintain prescriptions, progress notes, consent forms, labour records, procedure notes, and discharge summaries.
- Counsel patients and relatives regarding pregnancy care, procedures, treatment options, and follow-up.
- Support junior residents and nursing staff in labour room and ward workflow.
- Follow maternal safety, infection control, patient privacy, and ethical care standards.
- Participate in clinical discussions, audits, and departmental quality activities.
- Ensure compassionate, safe, and evidence-based womens healthcare delivery.
