The Resident - Anaesthesia will support anaesthesia services, pre-operative assessment, OT preparation, intraoperative monitoring, post-operative care, emergency support, and clinical documentation at Apollo Hospitals Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru. This requires MBBS qualification and a strong interest in anaesthesia and perioperative patient care.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist anaesthesia consultants during pre-operative assessment and patient evaluation.
- Support preparation of patients for surgery and anaesthesia procedures.
- Check patient history, allergies, vitals, investigations, consent status, and fitness notes.
- Assist during induction, intraoperative monitoring, airway support, and recovery care under supervision.
- Monitor patient vitals, oxygen saturation, airway status, fluids, and pain control during procedures.
- Coordinate with surgeons, OT nurses, recovery room staff, ICU, pharmacy, and biomedical teams.
- Maintain anaesthesia records, PAC notes, procedure notes, and clinical documentation.
- Support emergency airway management and code blue response under senior guidance.
- Ensure anaesthesia equipment, drugs, monitors, and emergency support are ready.
- Follow OT safety, infection control, patient safety, and hospital clinical protocols.
- Report abnormal vitals, complications, or clinical concerns to seniors promptly.
- Deliver safe, disciplined, and patient-focused anaesthesia support.
