Senior Registrar is responsible for supporting obstetrics and gynecology clinical services, managing patient care, assisting consultants, and supervising clinical workflows in womens health departments. The requires MS OBG, DNB OBG, or MD Gynaecology qualification with 0 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, patient management, and hospital clinical coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage OPD and IPD obstetrics and gynecology patients.
- Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, and treatment planning.
- Monitor antenatal, postnatal, and gynecological patient progress.
- Support normal delivery, emergency care, and gynecological procedures.
- Review investigation reports and update treatment plans under guidance.
- Coordinate with nursing, OT, anesthesia, and support departments.
- Maintain clinical notes, prescriptions, and procedure documentation.
- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Support emergency obstetric and gynecological case management.
- Ensure patient safety, consent, and infection control compliance.
- Guide junior doctors and clinical support staff when required.
- Participate in case discussions and clinical audits.
- Follow hospital protocols and ethical medical practice.
- Support quality documentation and patient care standards.
- Deliver reliable and patient-centered womens healthcare services.
