OT Scrub Side Nurse

The OT Scrub Side Nurse will be responsible for assisting during surgical procedures, preparing the operation theatre, and ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. The involves monitoring patients, handling surgical instruments, and supporting both pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure patient safety and smooth surgical operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and doctors during various surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room for emergency and scheduled surgeries.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques including scrubbing, gowning, and gloving.
• Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, trolleys, and sterile supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning and draping before procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities to the surgical team.
• Administer oxygen therapy and perform suctioning when required.
• Act as scrub nurse, circulating nurse, or first assistant as needed.
• Ensure proper counting and functionality of surgical instruments.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including recovery room monitoring.
• Ensure safe transfer of patients between OT, recovery, and wards.
• Follow doctors’ instructions and maintain high standards of patient care.
