HVAC Engineer

The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including cleanroom environments, AHUs, chillers, and ventilation systems. This requires strong technical expertise, knowledge of regulatory standards (cGMP/NABH), and the ability to ensure uninterrupted operations in critical areas such as ICUs, OTs, labs, and manufacturing units. The candidate must ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality standards at all times.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install, operate, and maintain HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, and ventilation units.
• Ensure proper functioning of cleanroom HVAC systems and maintain required environmental conditions.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, and air quality parameters across critical areas.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system breakdowns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, NABH, and safety standards.
• Maintain HVAC documentation including logs, SOPs, and maintenance records.
• Conduct periodic inspections and performance checks of HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, AMC, and servicing.
• Manage energy efficiency and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure proper air filtration systems (HEPA filters) and validation processes.
• Support validation, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and commissioning activities.
• Maintain pressure differentials in critical zones such as OTs, ICUs, and labs.
• Ensure proper functioning of exhaust systems and ventilation controls.
• Handle BMS (Building Management System) operations and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety and emergency protocols related to HVAC systems.
• Maintain inventory of HVAC spare parts and consumables.
• Prepare and manage maintenance schedules and reports.
• Assist in audits and ensure HVAC-related compliance readiness.
• Coordinate with engineering, biomedical, and facility teams for integrated operations.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure use of PPE during maintenance work.
• Train junior staff and technicians on HVAC operations and maintenance.
• Ensure minimal downtime and continuous system availability.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of HVAC plant rooms.
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Stay updated with latest HVAC technologies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation for inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide technical support.
• Maintain discipline, professionalism, and accountability.
