Senior Resident - Orthopedics

The Senior Resident - Orthopedics will support orthopedic OPD/IPD care, trauma management, fracture treatment, surgical assistance, post-operative monitoring, and rehabilitation coordination at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Delhi. This requires MBBS with MS or DNB in Orthopedics and 2–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with fractures, joint pain, spine complaints, trauma, and orthopedic injuries.
• Assist consultants in OPD, emergency, ward, and orthopedic surgical care.
• Review X-ray, CT, MRI, and orthopedic investigation reports.
• Support conservative treatment, surgical planning, plastering, and post-operative care.
• Coordinate with OT, anesthesia, physiotherapy, radiology, nursing, and emergency teams.
• Monitor post-operative recovery, wound condition, pain control, and mobility progress.
• Maintain clinical notes, operative records, consent forms, and discharge documentation.
• Respond to trauma and emergency orthopedic cases promptly.
• Counsel patients and relatives under senior guidance regarding treatment and recovery.
• Follow orthopedic safety, infection control, and patient care protocols.
• Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and academic activities.
• Ensure safe, timely, and professional orthopedic care support.
