Senior Resident - Pediatrics

The Senior Resident - Pediatrics will be responsible for pediatric patient care, neonatal support, emergency stabilization, ward rounds, parent counselling, clinical documentation, and treatment coordination at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Delhi. This requires MBBS with MD or DNB in Pediatrics and 2–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage pediatric patients in OPD, IPD, emergency, ward, and neonatal care areas.
• Assist pediatric consultants during rounds, procedures, and treatment planning.
• Monitor vitals, growth, feeding, oxygen support, lab reports, and clinical progress.
• Support neonatal resuscitation, pediatric emergency care, and stabilization.
• Maintain pediatric notes, treatment charts, prescriptions, consent forms, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with nursing, NICU, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and emergency teams.
• Review investigation reports and escalate critical findings promptly.
• Counsel parents regarding child condition, medicines, feeding, vaccination, and follow-up care.
• Follow pediatric safety, infection control, medication safety, and child-friendly care standards.
• Participate in case discussions, academic rounds, and clinical meetings.
• Maintain accurate handover between shifts and departments.
• Ensure safe, compassionate, and high-quality child healthcare services.
