Ward Nurse

The Ward Nurse will support ward nursing services, patient monitoring, medication administration, basic clinical care, documentation, and patient comfort at Fortis Hospitals, Hyderabad. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–7 years of experience in ward nursing, nursing, patient care, and medication administration.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care to patients in the ward and assigned patient care areas.
• Check and record vital signs, symptoms, oxygen saturation, pain level, intake-output, and patient progress.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, oxygen therapy, and prescribed nursing care safely.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, dressing, patient examination, and emergency support.
• Maintain nursing notes, medication records, patient care charts, and handover documentation.
• Support patient admission, shifting, discharge coordination, and ward service workflow.
• Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, transport, and clinical reviews.
• Inform senior nurses or doctors about deterioration, abnormal reports, pain, or urgent patient needs.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, housekeeping, and patient care departments.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, medication safety, and hospital SOPs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, comfort, dignity, and respectful communication.
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and organized ward nursing support.
