The ICU Nurse will support intensive care nursing, patient monitoring, critical care support, medication administration, emergency response, and clinical documentation at Fortis Hospitals, New Delhi. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–4 years of experience in ICU nursing, ICU, critical care, patient monitoring, and nursing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing support to ICU and high-dependency patients.
- Monitor vital signs, ECG, oxygen saturation, pain score, intake-output, Glasgow Coma Scale, and treatment response.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, injections, oxygen, and ICU nursing procedures safely.
- Assist doctors during ICU rounds, emergency procedures, patient review, and resuscitation support.
- Maintain medication charts, ICU nursing records, monitoring sheets, intake-output records, and shift handover notes.
- Support ventilator care, oxygen therapy, suctioning, patient positioning, catheter care, and pressure injury prevention.
- Follow ICU infection control, isolation precautions, hand hygiene, PPE, and biomedical waste management.
- Report abnormal vitals, sudden deterioration, critical reports, alarms, or medication reactions immediately.
- Coordinate with doctors, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, lab, radiology, billing, and patient care teams.
- Support safe ICU admission, transfer, discharge, and diagnostic movement.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, comfort, and confidentiality.
- Deliver alert, safe, compassionate, and patient-centered ICU nursing care.
