Medical Officer

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing quality clinical care, patient assessment, diagnosis support, treatment planning, and emergency medical management within the hospital. This requires strong clinical judgment, MBBS qualification, patient-centered communication, and coordination with consultants, nurses, and healthcare teams. The candidate will ensure safe medical practices, accurate documentation, timely patient monitoring, and adherence to hospital protocols, ethical standards, and clinical care guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations, clinical assessments, and initial medical evaluations.
• Diagnose common medical conditions and provide appropriate treatment as per clinical protocols.
• Assist consultants in patient management, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
• Attend emergency cases and provide timely medical intervention when required.
• Monitor admitted patients and update treatment plans based on clinical condition.
• Prescribe medicines, investigations, and procedures as per medical guidelines and authority.
• Maintain accurate patient case records, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medical documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and specialist teams for patient care.
• Explain diagnosis, treatment plans, and care instructions to patients and attendants professionally.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection control, and safety standards.
• Participate in ward rounds, emergency duty, OPD support, and inpatient care activities.
• Identify critical cases and escalate them to senior consultants or specialists promptly.
• Support medico-legal documentation and hospital reporting requirements when applicable.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow ethical medical practices.
• Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and smooth clinical workflow.
