Senior Pharmacist

The Senior Pharmacist will manage pharmacy operations, prescription verification, medicine dispensing, stock control, expiry management, patient guidance, and pharmacy documentation at Cenora Medical Center, Pandikkad. This requires D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification with minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines as per valid doctor prescriptions and pharmacy policy.
• Verify medicine name, dose, quantity, expiry date, and billing details before issue.
• Guide patients on medicine usage, dosage timing, storage, and precautions.
• Supervise pharmacy stock, purchase entries, issue records, and daily documentation.
• Monitor expiry, near-expiry, shortage, reorder level, and non-moving medicines.
• Arrange medicines properly with labeling, storage standards, and easy traceability.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, purchase, and pharmacy assistants.
• Maintain proper storage of high-alert, emergency, and temperature-sensitive medicines.
• Support stock audit, physical verification, and inventory reconciliation.
• Report expired, damaged, shortage, or mismatch stock to management promptly.
• Follow pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, and medication safety standards.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and ethical pharmacy service delivery.
