Job Description

Clinical Associate - Vascular Surgery is responsible for assisting vascular surgery teams in patient management, surgical preparation, clinical documentation, procedure support, and post-operative follow-up. The requires MBBS with MD or DNB qualification and 0 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of general surgery, vascular patient care, wound management, imaging follow-up, and hospital clinical coordination.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support for vascular surgery OPD, IPD, and ward patients.
  • Assist consultants during patient rounds, case reviews, and treatment planning.
  • Take clinical history, review symptoms, and document examination findings.
  • Monitor patients with arterial, venous, diabetic foot, and vascular wound conditions.
  • Review investigations, imaging reports, Doppler studies, and clinical updates.
  • Support pre-operative workup and post-operative patient monitoring.
  • Coordinate with OT, ICU, anaesthesia, nursing, radiology, lab, and pharmacy teams.
  • Assist in wound care, dressing, minor procedures, and vascular care documentation.
  • Maintain prescriptions, case records, progress notes, discharge summaries, and follow-up details.
  • Identify clinical changes or complications and report promptly to consultants.
  • Support patient counselling regarding basic treatment instructions and follow-up care.
  • Participate in admission, transfer, discharge, and referral workflow.
  • Follow infection control, surgical safety, and hospital protocols.
  • Support clinical audits, academic activities, and departmental improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver reliable, accurate, and compassionate vascular surgery care support.
