Deputy Manager-Record to Report

The Deputy Manager – Record to Report (R2R) will oversee key accounting processes including bank reconciliations, sub-ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit coordination. The requires close collaboration with GBSS teams, site finance, and auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial outputs. The candidate will also focus on automation, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) processes including reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with GBSS internal teams to ensure bank reconciliations and sub-ledger reconciliations are completed as per SOPs.
• Work closely with site finance teams for preparation of Local GAAP financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial books.
• Review and monitor balance sheet accounts in SAP to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of General Ledger (GL) accounts using best SAP practices.
• Manage internal and external audit deliverables, ensuring timely submission of required schedules.
• Coordinate with auditors and stakeholders to resolve audit queries and observations.
• entify opportunities for process improvement and drive automation initiatives for repetitive tasks.
• Establish governance mechanisms and reporting metrics in consultation with site controllers.
• Track KPIs and ensure adherence to performance and reporting standards.
• Support transition of accounting processes from global/overseas locations to shared services.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with process changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize SAP (including SAP HANA) for financial operations, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
• Train and guide team members on R2R processes, SAP usage, and best practices.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality across all financial systems.
