Chief Manager - Production

The Chief Manager – Production will be responsible for managing end-to-end plant operations as per standard operating procedures, ensuring adherence to cGMP and safety standards. The involves production planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, resolving technical challenges, and driving operational excellence. The candidate will also play a key in cost optimization, team development, and achieving production targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee overall plant operations and ensure production activities are executed as per SOPs.
• Prepare and manage monthly and annual production plans in alignment with business requirements.
• Monitor daily production activities and report plant status to Site Head through production reports.
• Ensure strict compliance with cGMP, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and monitor GMP procedures and ensure adherence across all production units.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, procurement, PPIC, and SCM teams for timely delivery of products.
• Conduct daily and monthly meetings with block in-charges to review operations and performance.
• Resolve technical and operational issues to ensure uninterrupted production.
• entify cost-saving opportunities, obtain approvals, and implement improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with service and maintenance departments for timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Review and approve production-related documents, reports, and financial bills.
• Prepare and manage plant budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
• Monitor plant performance and present updates to senior management in review meetings.
• Train and develop team members on cGMP, technical skills, safety practices, and leadership capabilities.
• Set and monitor Key Result Areas (KRAs) for self and align team KRAs with organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to work permit systems, PPE usage, and EHS guidelines.
• Handle discrepancies between departments and ensure smooth coordination across teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure readiness for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
