Vertical Head - Home Collection

The Vertical Head - Home Collection will be responsible for managing and expanding diagnostic home collection services, including phlebotomy team coordination, route planning, patient service quality, sample pickup workflow, and operational performance. This requires pathology operations knowledge, team management skills, patient-focused communication, and the ability to ensure timely, safe, and accurate sample collection services across assigned locations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage daily home collection operations for diagnostic sample collection services.
• Supervise phlebotomists, collection executives, coordinators, and field support teams.
• Plan collection routes, appointment schedules, and timely sample pickup workflows.
• Ensure samples are collected, labeled, transported, and handed over as per lab protocols.
• Monitor turnaround time, missed visits, patient complaints, and collection performance.
• Coordinate with laboratory, logistics, customer care, billing, and reporting teams.
• Ensure phlebotomy staff follow infection control, PPE, sample handling, and safety standards.
• Train team members on patient communication, sample collection process, and service quality.
• Track home collection revenue, daily bookings, productivity, and operational targets.
• Resolve service escalations related to delays, sample rejection, or patient dissatisfaction.
• Maintain home collection MIS, staff attendance, visit reports, and operational dashboards.
• Support expansion of home collection coverage areas and service partnerships.
• Ensure proper use of collection kits, consumables, cold chain, and transport bags.
• Implement process improvements to reduce errors and improve patient experience.
