X-Ray Technician

The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing X-ray imaging procedures, patient positioning, equipment operation, image quality support, radiation safety, and documentation in the diagnostic center. This requires DRT or B.Sc Radiology qualification, technical accuracy, patient care awareness, and coordination with radiologists, doctors, front office, and support teams to ensure safe and timely radiography services.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray procedures as per doctor advice and radiology protocol.
• Verify patient identity, investigation request, body part, and imaging requirement before procedure.
• Prepare patients for X-ray procedures and explain the process clearly.
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate and diagnostic-quality images.
• Operate X-ray, CR, DR, and related radiography equipment safely.
• Follow radiation safety, shielding, PPE, and patient protection guidelines.
• Maintain imaging records, patient logs, procedure registers, and documentation.
• Coordinate with radiologists for image quality review and repeat imaging if required.
• Prioritize urgent imaging requests and support emergency diagnostic workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness, equipment readiness, and proper arrangement of X-ray room.
• Report equipment malfunction, image quality issues, or safety concerns to seniors.
• Assist elderly, pediatric, or physically challenged patients during positioning.
• Ensure proper storage and transfer of digital images as per center process.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient reports and diagnostic information.
• Support timely, safe, and patient-friendly radiology services.
