Job Description
Medical Records Department Executive is responsible for managing hospital medical records, patient files, documentation, record keeping, data management, and MRD coordination. The requires knowledge of medical records management, hospital documentation, data accuracy, file maintenance, and healthcare administration. Candidates should have any graduate qualification or medical records qualification with 2 to 3 years of experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain patient medical records in a systematic and secure manner.
- Collect, verify, arrange, and file OPD and IPD patient documents.
- Ensure proper documentation of discharge summaries and medical forms.
- Manage record indexing, numbering, storage, and retrieval.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient medical information.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, and administration teams for records.
- Track incomplete files and follow up for missing documents.
- Support audit, insurance, legal, and administrative record requirements.
- Maintain MRD registers, reports, and record movement details.
- Scan, upload, or digitize medical records as per hospital policy.
- Ensure accurate data entry and proper file classification.
- Handle authorized record requests from internal departments.
- Follow hospital documentation and record retention guidelines.
- Support NABH and quality documentation requirements.
- Maintain discipline, accuracy, and compliance in medical record management.
