Job Description

Technical Officer - Cardiology is responsible for supporting cardiology diagnostic and technical procedures, operating cardiac diagnostic equipment, assisting cardiologists during investigations, and ensuring accurate and efficient cardiac care services. The involves performing non-invasive cardiac tests, monitoring patient conditions during procedures, maintaining equipment functionality, and ensuring adherence to clinical and safety standards.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-invasive cardiology procedures such as ECG, TMT, Holter monitoring, and related cardiac investigations.
  • Prepare patients for cardiology diagnostic procedures and explain testing processes clearly.
  • Assist cardiologists during cardiac evaluations, diagnostic procedures, and interventions.
  • Operate and maintain cardiology diagnostic equipment and monitoring systems.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac activity during procedures and tests.
  • Ensure accurate recording, processing, and documentation of cardiac diagnostic reports.
  • Identify abnormal findings or patient discomfort during procedures and report immediately to the medical team.
  • Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and operational readiness of cardiology equipment and procedure areas.
  • Follow infection control practices, safety standards, and hospital protocols at all times.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other departments for smooth patient workflow.
  • Ensure timely scheduling and completion of cardiology investigations and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, test results, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in emergency cardiac procedures and critical care support when required.
  • Conduct routine equipment quality checks and report technical issues promptly.
  • Monitor inventory of cardiology consumables and ensure availability of required materials.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and quality improvement activities.
  • Stay updated with advancements in cardiology technology and diagnostic techniques.
  • Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients during procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and clinical data.
  • Perform additional technical and cardiology-related responsibilities assigned by supervisors or management.
