Consultant - Cardiology (Non-Invasive)

The Consultant – Non-Invasive Cardiology will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with cardiovascular conditions using non-invasive diagnostic tools. This requires strong clinical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to deliver patient-centered cardiac care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular diseases including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
• Conduct detailed patient evaluations including history taking, physical examination, and cardiac risk assessment.
• Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests such as ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based cardiology guidelines.
• Monitor and manage chronic cardiac patients through regular OPD consultations and follow-ups.
• Provide emergency evaluation and initial management of acute cardiac conditions.
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and intensivists for comprehensive patient care.
• Supervise inpatient cardiac care and ensure appropriate treatment protocols are followed.
• Conduct preventive cardiology programs including risk factor modification and lifestyle counseling.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiac diseases, medications, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary cardiac meetings.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, patient safety standards, and infection control measures.
• Mentor and guide junior doctors, residents, and medical staff in cardiology practices.
• Handle medico-legal documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with advancements in non-invasive cardiology techniques and guidelines.
