Job Description
The Consultant Cardiologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with heart-related conditions across OPD, IPD, and emergency settings. The includes performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring evidence-based treatment to improve patient outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
- Conduct patient consultations, clinical examinations, and risk assessments.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, and angiography.
- Perform and assist in cardiac procedures and interventions as required.
- Manage patients in OPD, IPD, ICU, and emergency departments.
- Provide emergency care for cardiac events such as myocardial infarction and arrhythmias.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols accordingly.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists.
- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
- Promote preventive cardiology and lifestyle modification programs.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and hospital policies.
- Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Supervise and guide junior doctors and medical staff.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous medical education.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and ethical medical practices.
- Stay updated with advancements in cardiology and cardiac technologies.
- Contribute to improving patient outcomes and quality of cardiac care.
- Support hospital initiatives for growth and excellence in cardiac services.
